Well Bella finally did it! Missy Ink is now available in Chapters across Canada! First national publication! And if you so happen to flip to page 6 you will find….me! Love, Poetry Corsets now has ads in Missy Ink and Bride & Groom Canada! Never modelled in a magazine before so it was pretty darn exciting to actually walk into Chapters and purchase it. Can anyone say best break-up revenge?
“One kind of man I impatiently scorn is the kind that looks bored if I mention Ibsen or ceramics or Aztec civilization but is interested instantly, alertly, if I mention my garters.”
No more messing around. ‘Tis the year and the season to get everything up and running as it should! Time to start anew! My pet project from last year has finally been launched on Etsy! Came up with the idea last year to make garter belts with flask pouches that can also be used to carry your cellphone around (infinitely useful at tradeshows let me tell you.) It’s a rather stylish way to keep yourself hands-free without sacrificing all the trinkets that we so dearly covet. It’s all I use at tradeshows now but they’re also good for weddings, costumes, cosplay etc. We shall see what happens but it’s a good way to get rid of some of that scrap corset material. I gotta get a move on this year! It’s time to get off my ass and start making things happen. When my man’s decided he needs time for himself to focus and make a something out of himself, well why can’t I? Anything you can do, I can do better buddy! It’s on! The explosion of creativity is ON! Go all out or go home. #NewYearsResolution2014
It’s official! The company I design/work for, Love, Poetry Corsets, now have our Etsy page up and running! We’ve just listed some of the old Art Series corset from last year’s calendar. Hopefully we’ll have the time this year to do one for next year. It’s all for the cause don’tcha know (children’s art therapy). And who doesn’t love support local artists? I’m so proud of all my ridiculously talented friends who were able to donate their time, efforts and talents to this project. Check us out if you have the time.
“… but the corset had the odd power of making her seem somehow more naked; it turned her into a forbidden, armored creature with a soft side inside he had to hunt for.”

‘Tis the season for the spirit of nerdiness! Well, more finishing up random nerdy projects and commissions. I finally sold my Archie and Super Women dresses.
And seeing as it’s so freakin’ cold outside, I decided it was a good idea to get my Tardis dress finished. Good old Spoonflower!
Happy New Years everyone! I was spending New Year’s Eve with my boyfriend and we were laying in bed, looking at the wardrobe he’d gotten into a little bit of a disagreement with earlier on this week. The wardrobe has been in that room since way before we moved in but it always reminded me of “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe”. I said to him, “wouldn’t it be awesome if we painted the back panel of your wardrobe to look like Narnia?”
“Go for it.” was his reply.
Did I really need him to ask twice?
